Getting married soon? Looking for that honeymoon that you never got to take? Read on to see the best places to honeymoon for less than you would expect! Cheaper does not mean that you have to sacrifice the beautiful and romantic scenery of these inexpensive honeymoon spots:

Costa Rica…Puerto Rico
Although Costa Rica has been a hot honeymoon hot spot for years (offering white (and black) sand beaches, tropical rain forests and adventure trails through the jungle). Puerto Rico is made for couples on a budget, find love again in its’ rain forests and pristine beaches. It also has world-class surfing, zip lines and canopy tours for the more adventurous set.
Not only is it easier to get to, but it is cheaper to get round-trip flights. While it's still off the radar, sun seekers should take advantage of the low prices and abundant deals here. Consider the beachfront Gran Melia Puerto Rico Golf Resort & Villas, where packages -- including airfare and a three-night stay -- start at $419 per person with a $150 resort credit.

London…Dublin
With the exquisite royal wedding last year and the upcoming Summer Olympics, trips to London will increase making an expensive honeymoon spot. Hotel rates have increased and airfare has skyrocketed.
However, just a short distance away, across the Irish Sea, there lies Dublin. Dublin still offers you a romantic feel without the extreme price. While in Ireland, why not try a two-night stay at the remote Ashford Castle Hotel where honeymooners are treated to a package that includes dinner, rose petal turn-down service, breakfast in bed and champagne for less than $2,000?

Thailand…Vietnam
Lately Thailand has become the new exotic honeymoon spot, but also comes with an exotic price. The flight alone can start around $1300 per person.  Why not try Vietnam? Your dollar can go a long way there and in comparison to Thailand, Vietnam has gorgeous beaches, tombs and temples. A worthwhile alternative to the expensive resorts in Bangkok or Phuket.
The Sofitel in central Hanoi offers their couples champagne, chocolates and breakfast in bed for $255 a night. The hotel is also located near the Vietnam History Museum, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and presidential palace if you ever decide to venture out.

Venice…Cartagena
Meandering canals, cobblestone streets and hidden wine cafes…hmmmm sounds a lot like Venice, right? Well it is! But imagine getting all of this (minus the gondolas) infused with a Latin twist and great Columbian cuisines like seafood stew or red snapper with fried plantains.
Choose between the grand Hotel Charleston or the more intimate Tcherassi, which has just seven guest rooms in a 250-year-old mansion. The Boutique Hotel even offers a discounted rate of around $550 a night in February and March.

Paris…Quebec
Want the Paris adventure without paying beau coup bucks to experience? Lovers can stroll down quiet streets, sip champagne and even dine on fabulous French fare without the fabulous French prices.
A room at the unique Hôtel de Glace is now just $199 per person, including a welcome cocktail and breakfast. That's a bargain compared to the normal rate of $399 per person, although that price includes a four-course dinner.

Hawaii…Outer Banks, NC
Although there may never be a feasible substitute to the beautiful island of Hawaii, however the Outer Banks of North Carolina may come close! J For East Coast Newlyweds (or any newlywed couple) The Outer Banks of NC offers comparable romantic beaches with plenty of activities to keep you and your sweetheart satisfied.
Hotels here cost less than $100 a night, on average, in the off-season. Although summer is the best time to go. Rates at popular spots like the Inn on Pamlico Sound jump to over $300 a night in August but even then, prices are still far less than the sky-high rates at beach resorts on the islands, where a stay in an ocean view at the Marriott in Kauai starts at $450 a night (not including champagne and rose petals).
